I went to the pet store to pick up a can of Kong paste. I also wanted to pick up a bully stick or similar chew treat. Though I have an order from Best Bully Sticks on the way, I bought an 8″ spiral beef tendon chew. $3. I figured I would give him quarter of it at a time, over two days. He finished the whole thing in less than forty minutes. At least I know he likes them, and now I know not to buy them anymore (because they don’t last).
So he really likes the chew treats. I stopped giving him rawhides because it’d give him loose stools. The bully sticks seem to be fine for his system though.
He likes the regular formula of Kong paste. The latest one I bought was the puppy formula. It has a softer consistency and doesn’t interest him as much.
I also picked up a Natual Balance roll. I resisted because they seemed like a pain in the ass to use. My cousin suggested cutting them up and storing in tupperware. Duh. While cutting a chunk up, I gave him a few pieces. I probably shouldn’t have, because that’s yet another food that’s tastier than his kibble.
He’s eaten very little during his last three meals. He wants more meaty or chew treats so he’s holding out. I hate when he does this, because the kibble’s what firms up his crap for easy cleanup.
