Instead of Kong paste (he doesn’t really like the puppy formula), I’ve been stuffing his Kongs with cream cheese. He likes it. He still gets frustrated when he can’t get all the treats out of his Kongs. He’ll lick and try to get his teeth in there, but never chews on it. I’ll squeeze it with my hands, but he doesn’t get the idea that he needs to bite the Kong itself.
His favorite treats might be the Merrick training treats. They’re too big for use for training all the time (it takes too long for him to finish before the next rep), but they’re great for stuffing Kongs or working on Emergency Recall.
I’m trusting him a little more off-leash lately.
If he sees a cat, I don’t think he’ll come back to me. I have no idea what he’d do if he ever caught one. It looks like he wants to kill them, but it might be because they run. He loves to chase things.
