This is a blog about my dog. His name is Walter.

I adopted him on March 14, 2009. His birthday is November 7, 2008.

The dog is a gray mutt with touches of white. He has a white goatee, a patch of white on his chest, and white tips on his hind feet. The DNA test says he’s got the following in him: Miniature Poodle, Beagle, Cairn Terrier, and traces of Cocker Spaniel, Husky, and Chihuahua.

When I was between 0 and 5 years old, the family had a Collie. I’m unsure of what happened, but I think the dog got sick and we had to rid of him. I wasn’t too attached to him, so I didn’t learn very much about dogs.

I’ve read a bunch of dog stuff, but unfortunately started with the outdated dominance stuff. I learned there was a better way, and now believe all dog lovers need to read Culture Clash and The Other End of the Leash. If you haven’t yet, do it now (if you truly care about your pet).
